The 7th National Conference of the Indian Society of Thyroid Surgeons (ISTS 2025) was recently held in Ahmedabad from 26th to 28th September at the Hyatt Regency, marking yet another milestone in the field of thyroid surgery and endocrine oncology.
It was a privilege to serve as the Organising Secretary alongside Dr. Kaustubh Patel (Organising Chairman) and Dr. Aditya Joshipura (Organising Secretary), bringing together a dynamic community of thyroid surgeons, oncologists, endocrinologists, and allied specialists from across India and beyond.
A World-Class Surgical Experience
The conference commenced with a Live Surgical Workshop at HCG Aastha Cancer Centre, setting a high academic and technical benchmark.

Renowned international faculty — Dr. Kyung Tae (South Korea) and Dr. Michele Minuto (Italy) — joined leading Indian experts to demonstrate advanced surgical techniques, including:
- Transoral Robotic Thyroidectomy (TORT)
- Endoscopic and Remote-Access Procedures
- Fluorescence-Guided Surgery
- Complex Open Thyroidectomies with Intraoperative Nerve Monitoring (IONM)
This hands-on learning experience offered invaluable insights into the future of minimally invasive thyroid surgery, patient safety, and innovation in surgical technology.

Gratitude and Collaboration
This event wouldn’t have been possible without the steadfast support of ISTS leadership, particularly Dr. Jyoti Dabholkar and Dr. Krishnakumar Thankappan, as well as the contributions of all national and international faculty, delegates, and organizing members.
Their commitment, energy, and shared passion turned ISTS 2025 into a resounding success and a true celebration of academic and clinical excellence.
